Obituary for Patricia Ann Hayes (Blighton)
Patricia Ann Hayes, 79, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born on January 27, 1939, the daughter of Jacob "Dewey" Christopher Blighton and Virginia Regina (Lewniczak) Blighton.
Patty graduated from Sturgis High School then attended Wright Beauty Academy in Battle Creek. She had a lovely career at Cut & Curl Beauty Salon for 20+ Years. She began her family in 1958 with her husband Chuck in Battle Creek.
Patty is survived by her Husband of 59 years - Chuck Hayes; two Daughters, Tammie Latta and Teresa (Andy) Jones; Son, Rickey (Amy) Hayes; 16 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; Brother, Duane (Barb) Blighton and a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her Son, Rustey Hayes.
Patty enjoyed gardening, crocheting and documenting family history. She loved to refinish furniture in her younger days. Patty loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Saturday March 10, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at 2:00 pm.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
